I can't believe this, I found a turtle in the parking lot in front of our engineering building last friday afternoon. I was going home for lunch aroud 11:30 am. After I backed my car, I found there was a small things moving on the ground. I stared at it and found it was a turtle. I caught it and kept it in a plastic bag.
After I got home, I move it to a box and gave it some water and meat. To make sure, the meat was good, I boiled it. Unfortunatelly, this turtle neither drank nor ate. I thought it might be someone's pat, then after I went back to my department, I decided to put some notifications to see if anyone lost a pet. Before I left, my labmate who is a kansas resident told me it was a box turtle, and he was sure it didn't belong to anyone. I could keep it as a pet. He also told me I should feed it some vegetables since this kind of box turtles are vegetarians. I started being really happy becasue I love this cute turtle.
I gave it some peach. It only had one bite, then started struggling to go outside from the box. I could tell it really wanted to go back to nature. I realized I should let it go. After school, I put it into the garden museum which I thought was a beautiful place for it. Hope it has a happy life now.
